The virtual FUD centre TTS, Transport Telematics R&D Group Sweden, strives to promote technological development in the field of ITS, Intelligent Transport Systems.

TTS takes as its starting point the potential of people and organisations to accept and use traffic information and new technology.

The centre has been created to bring together the R&D expertise in the field that exists throughout Sweden to produce joint action.

TTS is a collaboration between 17 different universities and colleges, research institutes and consultancy companies with research expertise at various places in the country.

Objectives:

TTS shall be

• a new, powerful, well-qualified environment for research, development and demonstration activities
• a strong force for the development of knowledge companies in the ITS field
• a new link between research, society and the business sector
• a strong R&D player in the EU
• an attractive member of a Network of Excellence in the EU
